To take whatever experience you've obtained while on the job, then taking those skills elsewhere where you can be properly compensated. It motivates you to save what little money you have to train yourself when your manager doen't want to train you.
Cons
The office politics. The backstabbing by both the golden children and managers on the teams. The incompetence. The bullying. The lies, rumours and innuendos if they want to get rid of someone who is actually smart, decent, hardworking and wants to do their job.
