Pros

Definitely a company that is on an incredible growth journey, lots of exciting and ambitious things in the pipeline that make it a really buzzy, energetic place to be. Lots of improvements in recent months in the flow of communication and being better at planning and thinking more strategically. Big opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Cons

Linked to the above priorities can change quite quickly which can create ambiguity at times but it's part of the journey of a scaling business.

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. It’s great to hear you’ve felt the energy and ambition across the business - there’s a lot going on, and we’re excited about where we’re heading. We’re also really pleased that the improvements around communication and planning are being felt, as that’s been a big area of focus for us recently. You’re absolutely right that priorities can shift quickly at times. Scaling a business brings a certain level of ambiguity, and while that can be challenging, we’re continuing to work hard to bring more clarity, structure and forward planning as we grow. Really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Pros

The people at Seccl are some of the best and most talented people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. There's a real and genuine focus on employee well being. Great flexible working patterns. Some extremely talented engineers. Leadership actively changing things.

Cons

Lack of meaningful work on some teams. Confrontational attitude from longer serving staff when bringing new ideas to the fold. Some of the more talented people in the room are often ignored and overlooked. Short term fixes favoured over long term stability. Very poor engineer/developer coding experience.
