Pros

Helpful colleagues ensure customer support is delivered for customers no matter how much management interferes

Cons

There is never enough staff to meet customer demands, CO senior management don't seem to understand or care about customers, they only care about profit margins and pretending that everything is great for the bosses in Sweden

Response submitted on behalf of the UKI Managing Director. Dear former colleague, Firstly, thank you for taking the time to write a review, we do read and reflect upon each one. I was glad to hear that you found the team at Sectra helpful to one another but I would respectfully disagree that I or the management team do not care about our customers, it matters a great deal to me personally that we support the NHS and all our customers in the UK & Ireland. I can, without fear of contradiction, tell you that the CEO of Sectra cares more about customer satisfaction within the countries that we operate than profits in those countries as he truly believes, as do I, that happy staff and happy customers combined with innovation and energy will in time bring sustainable growth. But clearly you feel differently, and I must respect that but I would also invite you to contact me and share your experience so I better understand your point of view and, if needed, make any improvements, both personally and within my organisation.

Pros

Sectra proudly boasts that it hires the Best People, which seems correct. The people you meet here are very amiable and good to work with. In addition, the work that you get to do here is satisfyingly technical and feels rewarding. Other pros: Great benefits Great people Plenty of work (read: sales) on the horizon

Cons

Unfortunately, Sectra hasn't been treating it's people like they're the best lately. Over the last couple of years, they reorganized the company. Since then, workloads have been increasing unsustainably. Engineers, in particular, have been over-worked and under-paid, leading to an exodus, where the remaining engineers have been expected to cover the workloads of their departed colleagues, exacerbating the situation. Worse, management shows no intention of slowing down the rate of projects to make the workload more manageable. Without improvements in the engineer training pipeline, hiring will not be fast enough to stem the bleeding. Other cons: Low compensation Mediocre work/life balance (recently) Poor management response to feedback
