I was with the company for almost 6 years. I loved my first 4 years at SelectQuote. The last 2 years were a nightmare. We got a new Vice President of Recruiting and everything went downhill. I was in Talent Acquisition before I left we had 9 managers overseeing 48 employees. Even with that low headcount it would take on average 15-20 minutes to get a response from a manager via chat(we were all remote). I had a manager that would go house hunting and then once he bought a house started working on projects during company time. My last manager spent her company time running errands and planning her wedding. I would often be told to reach out to another manager to get something completed. Other coworkers had managers that are relentless micromanagers. There is no career development here. You get promoted based on friendships, not experience. My last manager never focused on my career developments. One on one time was spent gossiping about co-workers or talking about her wedding. This is not a serious company where you can build a long-term career.
