Pros
There are quite a few employees at Seyferth that have been in the PR/ Communications field for a long time. They are so talented at what they do! I learned quite a bit under the wing of a select few.
Cons
Work/ life balance is extremely low on the list of priorities. We were expected to be in our seats at our desks at exactly 8:30am, and couldn't leave until exactly 5:00pm. If you were going to be even a few minutes late, you had to email and let everyone know. There was never flexibility to adjust hours for a doctors appt, etc. and new hires / people working there under 3 years only got 5 days PTO a year...including sick days. I was also paid $29,000 salary... not enough to live off of. It was a really uncomfortable environment. I worked longer hours (usually going over 40 every week,) and never really knew what was going on until I had random tasks thrown at me. I was verbally yelled at (I mean screaming) several times. I will also add that this company, in my personal experience and in the experience of other co-workers, does use "diversity" and diverse people as pawns in their strategies. They would hire black or hispanic interns and lower-level employees and stick them only on clients and events where they wanted the company to look diverse.
