Pros
Provide fresh fruit on Tuesdays Fair pay New hire training and ongoing training is great
Cons
They know it’s bad too. The higher ups ask new hires in training not to write bad reviews online and to keep complaints in house. Employees are required to learn the horribly outdated and ridiculous processes on archaic systems, but never contribute anything of their own and never change anything. Managers and Directors micro-manage at an extreme level and treat everyone like children. Most are incompetent, but are in the “good ol’ boy” club. I agree with the person who said these people could never function in an actual company. No one is held accountable for their actions, in fact, they actively avoid disciplinary actions. There is poor communication between all departments. No one is on the same page and employees are discouraged from communicating with other departments without asking the boss first. Finger pointing and throwing people under the bus is commonplace, leading to hostility around the office. Outdated culture such as no eating at desks, no technology (can’t use cell anywhere in building or have work emails set up on phone). Change is between slow and non-existent. Salaried employees are treated as hourly employees. Culture is strange and very difficult to get used to. There's no logic or common sense, one of the many reasons there's extremely high turn over in the first 6 months. President is a crazed bully with a toxic attitude that has infected everyone from the top down. HR is a joke. Completely unprofessional and nothing is confidential. There is so much illegal activity happening in that company, I’m shocked that they haven’t been hit with a lawsuit yet.
