      Amazing People, lackluster compensation - PE Sika Employee Review

      Pros

      - Great people to work with, culture is strong - Depending on role, travel and travel benefits are a plus - Hybrid work schedule if you are not in R&D

      Cons

      - Raises are minimal if existent, does not keep up closely with Cost of Living or Inflation rates - Pay compared to competition is very low for the same, if not easier work - PTO is only 2 weeks for new hires and only after 5 years do you get 3 weeks. Everything within the rules and culture aligns with the Swiss corporate headquarter structure EXCEPT the PTO.

      Pros

      -People here are great, I made friendships that go beyond the job. -The benefits are pretty good, employee contributions are on the lower end. I also appreciate the PTO day for community service and the fitness reimbursement plan. -I love the employee events like birthday treats (when they still had them) and the holiday party

      Cons

      -There is little to no internal promotion opportunities anymore. When roles have opened up, they have gone to external candidates, or they bring someone in from the location in Europe. -Patchy communications from corporate, as well as corporate boasting the record-breaking profits on the internet, and then our bonuses would get cut - left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. -Salaries are pretty frugal -Senior management seem to be in a micromanagement mindset and caring about the wrong things -HR and management have made some bad choices when it comes to employees lately that I don't agree with
