Pros
Smarp is a constantly evolving environment and a great place to learn the ins and outs of the SaaS business. The team is very international and welcoming and you are given a high level or responsibility right away - you are expected to lead yourself and take full ownership of your work. The goals are high as you would expect in a start-up at this stage and taking initiative is recognized and rewarded. + Good product that beats competitors. Was early to the market and have a head-start on many of the smaller competitors. + Good hires this year! + Opportunities for growth and responsibility + Employee stock options + Ability to move forward fast, many promotions within a year + Beating the bigger competitors + Ownership that comes with accountability + Very open about the overall company progress and status. High level of access. + Open to feedback - don't hide challenges and issues + Good values and moves fast
Cons
Some people who have now left the company hurt the atmosphere a bit and could have been dealt with better. There were some hard decisions at the start of the year which I think is reflected in some of the recent former employee reviews but I don't feel these really reflect what it is like to work at Smarp but more just the frustration these former employees were left with. There are always some changes going on which can create some misunderstandings and difficult situations but this is to be expected in a start-up.
