Pros

Not much. Happy Hour Fridays are alright. The free snacks in the office are cool too. Also, the lack of structure at the company allows you to learn different aspects if you're so lucky to be liked by "management".

Cons

plenty. They hire just about anyone but fail to provide proper training and then become upset when the "job" is not done correctly. Starting rate is usually minimum wage but they expect you to be on call at all times for clients. They encourage bad behavior from clients and rather throw their own employees under the bus than to admit that no one truly knows what they're doing except for Tanu and a few girls on the client services team. The workload for one person is extremely overwhelming but is normalized as if it isn't an issue because the company either does not want to hire more staff or can not because lack of funds. The "sales team" will say just about anything to get a sale, even making promises that increase the workload of other departments without a care in the world. Client's are constantly lied to and then given free services in an effort to make it seem like they're receiving better services than they truly are. There is a lot of favoritism, that goes on within the office and it's usually shown to those who slave away without a complaint or concern. When a person doesn't stay past 5 PM, they are looked down upon and not included in the "inner circle". The CEO Emmanuel is immature and is constantly talking about his employees behind their backs. The turnover rate is HIGHHHHHHH. In a span of 9 months, numerous employees leave and are replaced. The building it's in is pretty awful, but I'm guessing that's just an NYC office thing. The bathroom is disgusting though. Tyler on the sales team is a brat and is probably the definition of white privilege. He's a good sales person but his personality is pretty obnoxious which makes him a great match for Emmanuel. There's something extremely shady about the way finances are handled and if I were clients, I would ask more questions about what my money is being spent on and ask for monthly financial reports. Ask for real ones because it's pretty easy to create a fake one and they will. Everything is just about looking the best but not about being the best. This is a great resume builder but there are better opportunities tbh. Stay clear if you can.

Pros

Fully remote opportunity. The company treats you like family; you're not just a number. The growth culture is incredible.

Cons

There's no perfect company, and there was a time when the culture wasn't great, but Smart Age, as a company that always seeks to improve itself, hired professionals who transformed it into a great environment. Now, we only see happy employees, colleagues, and friends.
