Pros
The culture and the people are pretty cool, all in all. It can be a bit clique-ish, especially amongst "leadership", but typically the people were welcoming when I was there. The culture is very likely to change since they just underwent a massive layoff round, though. The market is open, and there is a chance that they could fix their internal issues. The software is decent and doesn't have many competitors. There's reason to be optimistic, especially if you've bet the farm on Smokeball succeeding. Finally, the pay is decent (slightly above average) and the work/life balance is good. They do expect you to have a life outside the doors.
Cons
This is where things get tricky since the "leadership" is blind to their own missteps. They over reach, over promise, and under deliver. The lack of transparency and clear decision making is truly baffling. There's also a pattern of poor judgement. I heard there was a move to a HUGE office space after large hiring classes, only to hit that same class with a massive round of layoffs that affected the vision and organization moving forward. Not one person in that round of layoffs knew what was coming next. There is seemingly no direction forthcoming, but hopefully they can figure something out because the software has potential in a wide open market place.
