Pros

Big company with the possibility of various projects. New offices worldwide have been opened in the last few years. Before the covid it was one the greatest Ukrainian companies where you could grow in any profile that you choose, there were a lot of professional engineers and tech people that you could learn from. Projects were very interesting, long-term with a high focus on tech.

Cons

All good projects don't hire people in the team for years. New customers are way too demanding. Overtime is the usual thing. Most of the project managers are absolutely incompetent. There is no more career plan for the employee, only work right here right now. There is no compensation review anymore, the only proposition is to decrease your salary rate so the TSL could find you a project more easily as there are no big budgets for engineers anymore. Most of the high professionals leave the company during the last few years because of a number of reasons. There is no "bench" or "reserve" anymore, so if there is a budget cut and you're left without a project - you are not gonna retrieve any money while they are finding you a new one. In comparison, in similar companies, you can have the whole sum for some period of time or at least 50-75% percent of the previous one. I cannot find any reason to work in this company nowadays. Maybe for the beginners and inexperienced engineers but for the senior level there is no future here, unfortunately. There is no feeling that you're actually part of the "team" of "company" as obviously nobody really cares about you, your career growth and your expectations, please only do your job on time and remember that we really need to please our customer so let's overtime from time to time.

Pros

Decent pay but you will be expected to manage multiple client projects at the same time in an expedited timeframe and are often flying solo. If you come from traditional consulting, these projects will feel insane and unrealistic to deliver true quality.

Cons

All about who you know, not what you do here. Expect to have to work at 150% capacity plus spend at least 50% of capacity networking. You will be constantly asked to deliver with unrealistic timelines. People (i.e. business analyst group) are constantly stepping over boundaries and claiming work others with more expertise in a specific area should own. It is a constant cluster mess and I (as a junior associate) have been on my fair share of calls where leadership is yelling at each other about stepping into each other’s territories. I can only imagine what occurs on the pure leadership calls. Lots of people in director and above positions are on an egotistical trip and have zero interest in the team’s ideas, knowledge, or expertise. You will spend many phone calls just listening to the leader brag about themselves for 55 straight minutes.
