Manipulative Management - Marketing Director Splash Omnimedia Employee Review

Pros

Cool office space and potential to have fun on a daily basis.

Cons

Seniority is used as means of promotion, not performance. And efficient work is rewarded with more responsibility rather than money. After a round of layoffs they blocked people from filing for unemployment. They flip a switch from family to enemies the second you question their methods.

Pros

Working as an intern at Splash Omnimedia, gives you a real, in-depth look at what it's like to work in the marketing/advertising industry. The workers are easy to talk to, and are always eager to help you understand the processes behind their work. You get hands-on experience working on multiple platforms/interfaces and are showed how your work connects with the work of others. In other words, you are not simply doing filler tasks. They also flex and adjust your assignments based off of your preferred area of focus — content, design, research, etc. If you are a high school graduate or college student looking for real-life experience or an addition to your resume, I would highly recommend looking into an internship at Splash Omnimedia.

Cons

The office is separated, you rarely see senior management, which creates a physical and mental separation within the company. This is the case in many businesses, but it is the only con that came to mind.
