Pros

Flexibility, only 2 shifts a month to stay on payroll, getting to work events.

Cons

Very rarely do you have a supervisor who is prepared, knows what they are doing, and actually wants to be there working, and has the emotional stability and levelheadedness to be in a Supervisor role. At events, very rarely are we ever given the minimum amount of supplies to attend to the injured. Training is horrible and not informative. Half of your coworkers are way too immature to even be working in an emergency setting. Granted they are the only ones in the Denver Area that will hire anyone under 21. But if they’re wanting someone that young to represent their company, then they really should be a little more selective. If you have any issues, good luck taking them up with management. The three main managers always delegate it to someone else in hopes that they will care so that they themselves don’t have to. There is no support! And finally, the pay. Even for EMS standards the pay is super low. I could make more money working at the local ski shop.

Pros

Working sporting events and music venues. Newer ambulances. Operations are streamlined. Open door policy with all management.

Cons

Pay... it would be acceptable if cost of living in Denver wasn't so high

Pros

None that I can think of, honestly. Other than that Rodger is a great guy and was the only joy to be found at the company.

Cons

Toxic work environment. Supervisors play favorites. Managers don’t hold certain people accountable based on favoritism and personal relationships. They do not take harassment claims seriously. No opportunities for growth within the dispatch center. Opportunities for growth for field employees are limited and do not provide adequate compensation once they do grow into a new role. HR is ran by CEOs wife which causes conflict within the agency especially when someone needs to be out of work for injury or FMLA. HR tries to find ways around paying out employees for workman’s comp. Also mishandles pay, employee relations, and grossly oversteps her role within operations when she does not know how operations really work.
