Pros

Great work life balance, fun technology stack, got to solve interesting problems. Kind and caring staff throughout the whole company.

Cons

VC-funded and mismanaged their money, so there was never a chance for a lift at the end of the runway.

Pros

Having worked at some amazing Fortune 500 companies and a popular startup in the Bay Area, I know a great culture when I see one and Suiteness has it. The company is methodical about realizing its mission of building something awesome while still affording its employees true work-life balance. For example, while many companies offer "unlimited" vacation policies, Suiteness enforces a minimum. While other companies might also offer company off-sites, Suiteness took its employees to Iceland for snowmobiling on a glacier and witnessing the northern lights. That's the kind of company Suiteness is. The working environment and culture was designed this way because the co-founders wanted to actually witness their children growing up rather than being absent parents. Flexible schedules and a culture that values results over anything else is why this company is so productive. Some of the company accomplishments in the first few years have been amazing and surprising to industry veterans. It's just been very cool to witness the productivity while at the same time seeing people have fun and live balanced lives.

Cons

Achieving the hyper-growth required of a startup is not always easy. There have been highs and lows which is pretty typical with the emotional rollercoaster that is startups. The future has looked rosy at some points and bleak at others. In either scenario the team has been supportive and picks itself up. The cofounders are very different people with strong opinions and despite the occasional tension, they balance each other out well. The company values and reacts quickly to feedback.
