Pros
There are more than this, but here are 3. 1. You work with more SKUs than a typical packaging and distribution warehouse because at least for P&G it's custom packaging that often changes. That keeps things interesting for everyone. 2. Because things are always evolving the team members you work with share a close workplace bond that sometimes transfers to out of work friendships. 3. If you stick around there are plenty of opportunities to learn new skills to make yourself more valuable there and in your career's future.
Cons
1. When I was there Summit had acquired P&G's former partner's business so there was stress with trying to transfer everything over and still be profitable. It made the job exciting, but there were also long weeks. 2. We lacked an onsite HR rep the majority of the time I was there which would have made protecting the company's interests easier when common conflicts arose that could be efficiently handled by HR. Nothing serious or that involved me, but could be distracting. 3. Compensation was low, but they also hired me without much direct experience in the field and taught me things that has transferred into career success. Some kind of yearly compensation plan would have probably kept more people on for longer that started out low.
