Pros

+ The company is successful in attracting great talent in all areas, particularly PhDs in Physics and Maths + Some pockets of the company are comprised of teams that are truly world class in their area of business + Impressive benefits package (in Switzerland) + Probably one of the best work/life balance you'll get anywhere

Cons

- Extremely bureaucratic and complex-to-navigate environment - Politics play a major role instead of being a (minor) necessary evil - No sense of urgency to accomplish anything - Projects tend to get shelved and serve mostly as a platform to justify someone's predetermined promotion

Pros

The people you work with are amazing. The benefits are wonderful. I appreciate the bonus structure and the growth I've experienced with the organization.

Cons

Leadership's strategy and vision are severely lacking and self-serving. There's a lot of favoritism with the same people being included in decision-making without consideration for their ability to actually deliver results. In turn, the lower-level employees are left to clean up the disaster. I see that Swiss is on here making comments on employee reviews - hopefully they take note of how many people in the last 90 days said the same thing about the leadership strategy. We're not on glassdoor because we like reviewing our company - we're here looking for outside opportunities because of the way the company is currently operating. We're bleeding good talent because they no longer align with the corporate strategy.

Pros

1. 12% 401k match 2. Amazing co workers in the trenches but this is rapidly changing as people look for the exits.

Cons

1. Management - the new management team has a maximum personal bonus / profit only mindset. Cost cutting reigns. 2. Constant layoffs. No job is safe. 3. Company has offshored many jobs to India and is in a race to move key underwritering, engineering, claims functions to India as well. Overall, it feels more like a private equity gut job than a publicly traded company.
