Pros
Work-from-home flexibility and a good work–life balance, which makes it easier to manage personal and professional responsibilities.
Cons
Unfortunately, my experience with some Indian managers has been very disappointing. Many of them appear to have been promoted primarily due to long tenure (12–15+ years in the company) rather than strong technical knowledge or leadership skills. This often results in poor decision-making, lack of guidance, and limited support for team members. In contrast, offshore managers have generally been far more cooperative, supportive, and professional. They foster a positive work environment and are approachable when it comes to challenges or growth opportunities. You are genuinely lucky if you end up working under an offshore manager, as the experience tends to be much more collaborative and motivating. Overall, management quality varies significantly, but the gap in leadership effectiveness is quite noticeable.
