Pros
- it gives you something to do - if you find something you like, you can hold it until the end of the day to buy (but only then)
Cons
everything; -you get thrown in the deep end head first without any training - unrealistic targets and time frames in which they want stuff to be done, a 10 pallet delivery can be done in around 4 hours, and they somehow expect you to do a 25 pallet delivery in the exact same time frame. -expected to work quickly in a hot stock room that has no air conditioning, but the managers office has all the AC they need - team leaders and managers are always telling you to hurry up for no good reason, mainly when you’re trying to navigate obstacles that TK Maxx themselves have created. another associate told me that you could work at the speed of light and they would still somehow want you to hurry up - you get belittled infront of other staff and get spoken to like you’re stupid, managers love to make comments and insinuations about your personal life - made to learn stupid stuff, behind the tills there are 12 cabinets for customer returns to be re tagged and put back out on the shop floor, they are labelled but only from the inside, pair that with no training and you find yourself running around like a headless chicken whilst being told to hurry up
