You highlight some positive things — we take pride in hiring the best and the brightest to ensure things get done the right way — there's a reason that we're considered by some of our clients as being the best kept secret in the IT space.
You also mentioned being paid for your mileage. We take pride in having among the most competitive reimbursement rates in the market, because we know that when our employees have to travel for work, that's an expense that should never be burden by them. The downside, as you mention, is that in the long-term, it obviously does add miles to vehicles.
You also mentioned a lack of a work/life balance. We strive to maintain that for every single employee — if you feel as though yours is lacking, we strongly suggest having an open and honest conversation with your manager. Obviously, there are some roles that require being on-call for periods of time, but those stipulations are ironed out well in advance of a job offer being given — that's not something we could ever simply spring onto an employee.
Again, we strongly recommend having an open and honest conversation with your manager about any possible stresses you may be experiencing if you're on-call. Thank you for being a member of our team.
