Pros
The Fund's staff is passionate, brilliant, and inspiring. I started there as an entry-level employee and over time benefited from mentoring by many different people in senior leadership. For better or worse the organization can feel like family to those who stay long, and many stay very long! I mostly thought my pay was competitive for the industry, and my supervisors were always receptive to my interests and helped me shape my positions to meet my goals. The CEO, Regan Ralph, is ethical and fair, and has great respect for her employees. I had great work-life balance, and experienced a really supportive but constructive culture.
Cons
While I was there, the organization struggled with knowledge management systems. It seemed like new staff always had to rely on staff with longer tenure for access and information which created negative working dynamics. While pay was competitive, I also found that supervisors and staff needed to advocate for themselves and their interests, which is fine, until your supervisor doesn't advocate for you as well as they could.
