Pros

- Main goals are systemic environmental impact, not profit - if you care about saving the world at all, this is a great fit! - Super flexible, innovative and collaborative atmosphere - No micromanaging or stringent deadlines - Very respectful and supportive culture, ask for help if you need it and it's there! Everyone is super busy and it's fast paced, but helpful. - Great value on personal life, team building, work-life balance, fun outside of work activities to get to know each other - Continuous additions of resources, knowledge, personnel to fit the growing demand - Lots of chances to connect with coworkers (both in person and remote) to feel like a valued part of the organization - Great PTO, benefits and company fun activities -

Cons

I wouldn't necessarily call them "cons", but perhaps "growing pains", which are usually expected from rapid growth, but are being addressed. You have to be patient with change and the difficulties that come from innovation and the complete unknowns, especially as a scientist. Most of the time, things may not be presented fully to you and it can be challenging to nail down what will work properly or find the answers you need quickly, but that's the name of the game in research and innovation and improvement. You have to be patient with yourself and know that you're allowed to take the time if you want to do it right and don't give up!

Pros

Tidal Vision has grown to over 300 employees, and the core values are still clearly critical to the entire team. Recent funding round went REALLY well, and all 3 primary divisions of the company are poised for growth. With so many different strong applications for chitosan, and a proprietary production method that is significantly more efficient and sustainable than the status quo, Tidal Vision is going places. Data engineering from all sides of the company has improved and is contributing to more efficient innovation across the entire company.

Cons

Still a start-up, so the growing pains are not gone by any means. The work can be difficult, but it's usually very rewarding as well. With so many talented co-workers, we're better at getting to the bottom of things and keeping track of everything. Acquisitions are always difficult. From my perspective, we've integrated remarkably well - but there's still room to do better. We've certainly acquired more companies than I would have guessed, and they have all added significant expertise, innovation, and capability for the Tidal Vision group of companies
