Pros

Can work around a students schedule. Good location in the city for transportation. Normal benefits. Okay starter job. Recently renovated office.

Cons

There is clear favoritism among the staff and management. "Competetive wage" is far below average though it is above minimum, extreme workload for the pay provided. Booked time off doesn't feel like any time is taken off since they merely add shifts around the time off to make up for lost working hours. Double standards when it comes to company offenses an example being the use of internet while working. "Worker A cannot browse anything un work related, while Supervisor B is playing flash games or facebook." Fairly unhygienic workplace, lack of cleanliness at work stations and in break room, usually a pile of dishes in the sink for days and at one point black mold infestation in the fridge.

Pros

- Weekend premium ($30/hour) - Remote

Cons

- You only hear feedback when one of the managers feels like giving it to you with very little, if any, acknowledgement of good work. - No benefits. - They operate 24/7/365, and despite being on their payroll as a part-time weekend employee, they expect you to also work every holiday that falls Monday through Friday. - No autonomy. You have to read scripts verbatim, regardless of whether or not the information was given by the caller already and regardless of whether or not it is even relevant. Every call feels robotic and callers are often angry about it. - Sometimes you'll be answering for loan sharks and scams. - Little to no transparency regarding hierarchies, processes, or performance metrics. - They use a chat messenger for on-the-clock communication. Expect to have your work interrupted constantly, AND expect to have a loud buzzing chat noise in your headphones in the middle of your calls. - They demand a photo of your home every month for "safety compliance." - No allowance or safety net for technological failures.
