Starting at $17.65/hour, the wage should be closer to $19-$25/hour, especially with added responsibilities like the dog wash installation in some locations. •Limited Advancement Opportunities: If you receive an "OFI" (Opportunity for Improvement), your chances of promotion are significantly reduced. Even with a good record, the only way to move up is by contacting head office directly managers won’t assist in this process. •Poor Management: Communication is often poor, and management is condescending. Schedule changes happen without notice, and they are rarely reverted without a meeting. Workplace Safety Concerns: Employees are expected to handle chemicals and deal with animal waste without proper PPE. Additionally, there are tripping hazards, and the boss has neglected to order necessary cleaning supplies on occasion. Overburdened with New Products: Higher management often overfills stores with products, despite limited storage space. This leads to a cluttered and inefficient workspace. •Physical Strain: Heavy lifting and being by yourself, chances of injury are increased, have seen bosses neglect a workers needs after on-shift injury and haven't filed anything for Worksafe, employee continued to work.
