Pros

Being outside in the trees doing my hobby.

Cons

Nepotism from almost inception to present. Friends and family are hired for senior positions. If you are experienced you are a threat to them, they’ll either take credit for your ideas or make you life hard til you leave. I worked there for two seasons, was never offered off season work much to the disappointment and surprise of my parents kids. Dangerous and abusive co-workers. I was spat on by a co-worker and others went through my gear bag when I was in the bathroom. This happens because the people doing the hiring have no experience in doing so. One co-worker identified as male or female depending on their mood which would change multiple times a day, confusing and scaring kids. Courses are a joke, camps are upsold for the wealthy minority of Portlanders to get their wallets out. The place is so disorganized that you basically run the same camp every day week in a different place. Support is zero, the course content are basically made by instructors. Trackers just take money from parents. Kids are hard to control because you have no help, you will basically be trying to maintain control of a group of kids all day and maybe show them a few things. Pay is minimum and for all their singing and dancing pretty much hire anyone. Keep looking start your own school, but you will not be respected. Paid well, or rewarded for your efforts. All you’re doing is helping the schools owner pay for their home in the country and live in retirement.

Pros

It was fun to be outdoors doing fun things.

Cons

There were many communication issues with upper management. There isn't much room for growth. It requires a huge commitment and it can be hard on the body.
