Pros
I like to OWN stuff that I do. I like to be autonomous and empowered behind a great vision which I feel I am at Tradeshift. I have worked across many industries in companies at various stages of development and can safely say that the culture and spirit at Tradeshift is unique. You really can Own stuff, genuinely Win for the customer and Never accept the status quo (thats the OWN motto in case you missed it). The CEO and founders really do have an inspirational vision that I believe in and I believe will change the future of commerce for the better. A multi-tenant digital network is the only way - I hope I can stick around long enough to see it become reality. Paper and PDF documents are such an old crappy way of doing things......one day businesses will catch on......
Cons
There are cons, here are a couple, when you are small you can accept that not everything is going to work. I accepted this as i trust the founders and those in charge of the sometimes crazy ship to do the right thing. This gets tested as we scale exponentially - people are hired who don't always get where we are. They may expect to be spoon fed work, have strict processes in place, no bumps in the road, no dead ends, pivots, re thinks etc, etc. I chose to be positive and see the cons as opportunities to make a difference. Sometimes though politics and fear of being thrown under the bus make me temper my enthusiasm. I don't like it when politics get in the way......this is probably my biggest con - it can happen at Tradeshift
