Pros

I really enjoyed my time internship at Transcard. Everyone who works here is focused on the company's vision and purpose. Since it is a smaller company there are many opportunities to explore and contribute.

Cons

I have no cons at this time.

Pros

Transcard, while at the forefront of global payment innovation, also manages to maintain a close-knit feel and positive culture in the workplace. Leadership is supportive and approachable, ideas are valued, and employees are empowered to grow and feel appreciated. It’s a place where innovation and a strong sense of community truly go hand in hand.

Cons

I have yet to find a "con" after 16 months with Transcard. This is a testament to the workflow and community present within the company.

Pros

They have fantastic branding, nice staff, and a wonderful office in downtown Chattanooga. HR (despite tough decisions they are forced to act on) were professional and great to work with. There are clearly people who are putting forward good faith efforts that keep the engine running. The marketing team is fantastic and one of the company strengths. Also, the pay and comp is truly fantastic, that’s a big plus.

Cons

The CTO and Head of Software both have no idea what they are actually doing. From refusing best practice development environment standards, allowing developers and product / project managers to never be on the same page, and allowing the worst code quality standards, it’s a shame the company keeps being held back by them. 2 years in a row they have thrown expensive developer conferences filled with team bonding speeches and then laid people off because they “couldn’t afford ” their devs anymore due to restructuring. Projects rarely ever got done there because they kept switching priorities halfway, or bad coding practices slowed down projects to a crawl.
