Pros

The base pay is OK. There's a shooting range and a golf driving range close by.

Cons

Employees have little to no control and act more as punching bags when things go wrong. HQ questions every move you make. I get not trusting a new rep, but at least trust the manager to keep his team in check and to make the right decision. Instead, someone 6000 miles away tells you how to manage your own customer and you have no option but to follow their guidance no matter how illogical or dumb it may seem because it is the only way to get things done. Trying to argue against this will cause delays and 90% of the time you will get NOWHERE and you'll go back to square one. A lot of your hours are spent doing damage control and apologizing trying NOT to lose the accounts. I can't begin to tell you how much opportunity and business we've lost. Losing business over delays, lack of flexibility, and extremely high pricing is mind blowing. HQ only sees in black and white, there is no in between. Transcend HQ pushes branch offices to grow but does not want to support anything outside of what is "the norm in Taiwan". Competitors have grown in a booming industry but yet Transcend has buried themselves deeper and deeper in a hole.

Pros

- Was given great coaching. - Was provided Accounts to grow and develop. - Was given authority and trust to manage Accounts. - I got to travel the Pacific Northwest for customer visits.

Cons

- There were tensions between the Silicon Valley Office, LA Warehouse Office, and Taiwan (HQ). - Business was not willing to take on some challenging new designs which could have been profitable.

Pros

Base pay can be negotiated to exceed 100k, but culture makes it impossible to stay.

Cons

There are constant inappropriate behavior throughout management and sales reps. Behavior includes derogatory comments, racist behavior, and general lack of respect. Base is decent, but you have NO sick days or benefits. The company is so cheap they make their employees pay for trial hardware, mandatory "customer holiday gifts," and your own employee badge to access the office.
