Pros

Money, travel, Tesco’s next door

Cons

Working at this utterly toxic and poisonous company has without question affected my mental health. Working for Trowbridge is a misery, where you go in and have absolutely every aspect of your work questioned in a non-constructive manner, and demotivating manner. The MD is KPI focused, and only cares about money. You’re not a valued employee, you simply a money making machine, and you get a number applied to you, and if you don’t meet your target, you’ll be fired before you can even ask for help or advice. Saw over 50 people come and go from Trowbridge and that was prior to corona. Almost unthinkable right, but true. These points are indirectly verified also, by the blatant attempt to cover up the truth on Glassdoor. Falsified reviews saying Trowbridge is the best company ever. How could there possible be such a split in one star reviews and then a small handful of glowing 5/5 reviews. Take my advice and don’t join this company, no matter how much money they offer, especially if you are young and starting your career. Being young is a disadvantage as your age is used against you as a factor for not being correct when you question his judgement. Young people are “young and dumb” in his eyes. Avoid. P.S all of the above is the absolute truth.

Pros

Since the change in management in 2022, Trowbridge Gallery has undergone a significant cultural transformation. The previous concerns reflected in older reviews are not representative of the business as it stands today. Under new leadership, we’ve prioritised creating a respectful, inclusive, and professionally rewarding environment for every member of the team. Regular management training is now in place to ensure consistent, high-quality leadership at every level of the business. We’ve introduced structured staff training programmes across all departments to help everyone grow in their roles and feel confident in their contributions. We’ve also welcomed a dedicated in-house HR Manager, supported by an established external HR consultancy, to further strengthen our culture of professionalism, fairness, and support. The atmosphere in the studio and offices is now collaborative and focused, with a shared sense of pride in what we create. Our team plays a vital role in delivering the quality and service that our clients rely on, and we’re committed to supporting every individual in their professional journey with us. If you're considering joining Trowbridge Gallery, I’d encourage you to view us through the lens of what we are today—a company committed to excellence, respect, and continual improvement.

Cons

Long working day Mon-Thurs does take a little getting used to, but is so worth it for working a 4 day week.

Pros

Trowbridge is truly a wonderful company to work for. From the outset they are welcoming and I have learnt so much from my time here. I wouldn't be leaving the role of it wasn't for moving home. Ever aspect of the company from the people to the artwork they sell is exceptional. Thank you to Trowbridge for teaching me everything they have.

Cons

The location for me is now not logistically feesable as I have moved to a different city.
