Pros

Over the course of the last 35 years I've had the opportunity to work for a number of different organizations in various industries, from food service to construction to education to automotive and now TrueCar. I can honestly say, this is far and above the best organization I've had the pleasure to work with/for. I say "with" because everyone at TrueCar does a tremendous job of working together and aligning on common goals. In my first year I have yet to find an employee unwilling to jump in and assist any time the need arose. TrueCar hires highly qualified, intelligent people that are willing to support one another and help boost the organizations goals and expectations. That's rare in my experience.

Cons

I don't consider this to be a "con" but it is clear that TrueCar looks for self reliant, self motivated and highly skilled individuals. If you fit that mold, you will love working here and will be recognized for your efforts.

Pros

My boss and team were amazing. Super talented and collaborative.

Cons

The company as a whole started floundering and its goals weren't clear anymore.

Pros

Great Benefits & Remote Work

Cons

No matter how hard you work, there’s no recognition or pay increase. I wouldn’t recommend using the open-door policy if you have concerns about a manager. I raised an ongoing issue and ended up being written up based on claims that I wasn’t completing my work, even though I was following instructions. When layoffs happened, I was unfortunately among the first to be let go. It felt like a real slap in the face after all the time and commitment I gave to the company.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for the contributions you made during your time with the company. We’re pleased to hear that you valued our benefits package and remote work flexibility, both of which remain important components of our employee experience. We take feedback regarding recognition and our open-door policy seriously. TrueCar is committed to maintaining a workplace where employees can safely raise concerns and where all issues are reviewed fairly and objectively. While organizational changes and employment decisions are driven by broader business considerations, we understand that these transitions are difficult. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
