Pros

Despite a pretty awful Q2-Q3 post layoff, I think the good parts about working at Turo are still true. It's a great product, built by an amazing and dedicated team. The product is complex and interesting, makes economical sense for everyone, and overall there's still a big potential if we can make the right choices and execute well. Business is turning around and people are moving on from last year, the vibe is getting better, I'm optimistic 2026 will be a good year.

Cons

Very tough 2025 with a layoff and overall low morale. It's crazy to think that early 2025 this rating was like 4.6, yet how the layoff and surrounding decisions were handled managed to bring that down to 2.4 in just a few months... communication was bad, timing was off on return to office, overall poorly executed IMO. I hope we learn from this in case similar situations arise again.

Pros

Great opportunity to learn complex claims, arbitration strategy, liability review, and recovery-focused decision-making.

Cons

Pay does not always align with the complexity of the work, especially when the role expands into training, reporting, cleanup, and process improvement.
