      Decent place to learn and gain some experience. Projects are interesting that can't be found in the private sector. Excellent work/life balance.

      Cons

      Bureaucracy, especially from the older generation that are resistant to change. Security clearance process takes forever. Technology is far behind that found in the private sector.

      Pros

      Effectively taught every aspect under the communications umbrella to a more than competent level. Effectively allowing an individual to become a one man media team in terms of knowledge and skill.

      Cons

      Sometimes leadership can place everything on one persons shoulders, miscommunications lead to large scale rewrites or redo's.
