Pros

As has been said, the people are nice. Most are former teachers, so it has that type of atmosphere to it. Four weeks of PTO per year is nice. Base pay was decent.

Cons

Not going to publicly bash the company as a whole. 99% of the folks were great. But will say that myself and one other person were hired at the same time as business development reps. Within 60 days, neither of us were there anymore. Take from that what you will. Micromanaging is the name of the game here, based on my experience.

Thank you for this review. We are sorry whenever employment with USATestprep doesn’t work out. Your review touches on several things we need to do better, particularly around onboarding new staff, clarifying roles and responsibilities between managers and their teams, and making sure feedback mechanisms are in place so we can hear and respond to staff concerns. Our company is growing very fast, which is good because it means our product is being well-received by our customers, and which we think creates opportunity for our team. However, that fast growth also creates stress for the organization and causes us to miss some things. It will also take us some time to have all the systems, processes and staff in place to address the issues raised in this review. In the short term, we are doing a few things. First, I as the CEO have met one-on-one with every employee in the company to get their opinion on what’s good, not good and needs to change about the company. Second, we are specifically looking to hire in key areas right now to address staff needs. Third, I have communicated to the staff the priorities and operating principles we have as a company, with the hope that we are all on the same page and know what to expect from each other. We are doing great as a business, and I believe we are creating a great place to work. But, there are a lot things we can do better. Thanks again for the feedback.

Pros

Great team with a clear sense of purpose across the team. Very highly regarded by many teachers and admins, with a strong focus on customer service.

Cons

Any cons are the same cons you would expect to see at any growing tech company - lots of hiring and new faces, the need to define new roles, adopt new tools, and do so without any disruption to existing customers.

Pros

The work atmosphere here has a personal, amiable feel, despite the company's constant growth in size and sales. Management does a very good job of nurturing this culture and making, it a place where people are secure in their jobs when they produce good work. It is not uncommon for people to bring their pet to work, and the dress code is very relaxed.

Cons

A small workforce has meant that each person is often responsible for a wide variety of tasks. In some ways, this has helped to diversify the skill set of all employees, and the continued growth has made this much less of an ongoing concern. Things can get very busy in the Fall and Spring, but employees are exceptional at helping each other when things get hectic.
