Pros
The medical/health benefits package is great. IT Management was flexible with PTO and working from home. Beautiful new campus in Port Covington. Ample job training was provided.
Cons
Full time staff members are being replaced by consultants. If you are lucky/determined enough to get through the hiring process (which tends to take several weeks), you will not find job security on the other side. Tenure has no significance to IT management. Even if you had 9+ years of knowledge and experience at Under Armour, your position can easily be cut, despite the fact that the company is "constantly growing" and is "full of opportunities." In 2015/2016, IT leadership moved towards hiring friends/former colleagues for nearly all new management positions-half of a dozen employees are from ONE particular company. This unethical business practice has been entirely overlooked with no consequences from HR and global leadership. Several other former/current teammates reference this occurence in other glassdoor reviews, yet nothing has been done. Salaries are significantly lower than other organizations in the area-be prepared to haggle for every penny. Employees are asked to find a way and go above and beyond the normal 40 hour work week and then promised career growth and prosperity, but for the most part, these promises go unfulfilled. It is extremely sad to see the IT department struggle so much due to budget constraints, being unstaffed, and unsatisfied with management.
