Pros

helping clients, getting entry level experience in this field

Cons

high caseload, case note/billing system requirements, fighting a system that is set up for cookie cutter solutions when you know your client needs something different.

Pros

- Flexible work schedule - Work independently - Good benefits - Health Insurance, HSA, Retirement, PTO (Awards people who have worked in the field for a number of years, not just at Unison, with more PTO) - Abundant opportunities for overtime in other departments - Great pay for community mental health - pay compares to many private agencies in the area

Cons

- High workload, thus high chance of burnout (you have to really love what you do to survive) - Having to meet bullsh*t Accreditation standards, but you'll find this anywhere I suppose. - Lack of training opportunities

Pros

Flexible schedule, fair pay, good people.

Cons

Management micromanaged every aspect of the position. Very passive aggressive when it came to constructive criticism.
