Pros

The best part of Upfluence are the employees. It's a tight-knit group of smart, hard working individuals. You will learn more from your co workers than any executive at the company.

Cons

If I was able to give a zero star rating I would. The workplace environment is as toxic as I've ever seen. That is obvious from your first day. The executives are appear to be unqualified for their positions and therefore they do not treat you with respect and have unrealistic expectations. They make it seem, when you first interview, that you will have ample opportunities to advance your career within the company but once you start, you realize that what they told you during your interview is not true. This is in part due to the unrealistic expectations mentioned above. Because of these unrealistic expectations, it becomes tough to hit your numbers and even when you do, they do not appear to reward you immediately. Your training will consist of pre-recorded videos that are outdated (seemingly recorded during the 2020 pandemic when everyone was working from home). You will learn by listening to your co workers' calls instead of being given formal training. Once you begin selling you will be given sales goals that appear unattainable due to the low quality leads you're given. Even if you do hit your numbers, you might not be rewarded immediately. Regarding the leads themselves it's hit or miss. If the company likes you, you can get placed into a different pool of leads that are of higher quality. However, often times the leads do not even show up to the calls and are completely unqualified if they do. You will have a lot of no show calls and empty calendars. Despite all of this, any feedback you give to higher ups for ways to improve will not be heard. They do not give you the time of day, nor do they actually absorb any of the feedback you provide because it seems like they do not care. You're forced to put up with all of this just to get paid a below market salary for this type of role. The commissions look nice during your job interview but you'll soon learn that those commissions are not attainable due to the factors listed above. Overall, this is certainly not a good place to work and is not worth your time. This is a high risk, low reward job that forces you to put up with disrecptpful "leadership" on a daily basis. But hey, at least you get a free bagel once a week.

Pros

I’ve been at Upfluence for more than 5 years, and I really appreciate the culture. Upfluence is very innovation-driven and encourages people to test ideas. It still feels very human-sized, and everyone knows each other. People who do good work are trusted and can grow internally. The environment is not overly political, and I’ve never felt like I had to pretend to be someone else to grow professionally. As a woman, I’ve always felt the company was very gender-equal.

Cons

You need to be comfortable learning by yourself and being autonomous. It is very rewarding and helps you grow a lot, but it can also be challenging sometimes. If you prefer very structured environments with strict rules and processes, this may not be the best fit.

Pros

I’ve been here for six years and it’s been a fantastic experience. I started as a Junior salesperson with no prior tech sales experience, but the company took a chance on me and provided a very transparent, structured roadmap that allowed me to work my way up. It is a rare place that actually gives you a clear path to build a long-term career. The platform itself is powerful and honestly sells itself because the tech team is constantly improving it into a best-in-market tool. One of the biggest perks is that there is absolutely no prospecting or cold calling, which is almost unheard of in this industry. Once you get through the initial ramp-up period, the commission is great and very achievable. No company is perfect, but the culture and the product make this a top-tier place to work. If you get the opportunity to join the team, you should definitely take it.

Cons

Hybrid work model, but the NY office is super cool. As with any high-growth tech company, things move quickly. You need to be adaptable to keep up with the constant platform improvements.
