Pros

Holiday entitlement Many colleagues at team level are genuinely kind, talented, and care about doing the right thing The organisation has a mission that *sounds* meaningful Looks good on paper

Cons

The role lacked clarity from the outset, with vague responsibilities and constantly shifting expectations Success felt subjective and based on perception rather than clear, measurable performance Favouritism in some employees A strong culture of “performing” for senior leadership — lots of polish, presentations, and internal optics, with questionable real-world impact Significant time and money spent internally, while frontline support for residents felt secondary Employees are expected to deliver complex work with limited guidance, support, or clear priorities Quiet or introverted staff appear to be penalised, even when their work output is strong Feedback was inconsistent and poorly documented, yet used to justify sudden decisions Employment decisions can be made abruptly, with little notice, limited HR involvement, and no meaningful opportunity to respond or improve HR policies are not consistently applied in practice Gave me imposter syndrome and feelings of not being good enough

Pros

Good holiday package and tradesmen

Cons

What used to be a great place to work has quickly devolved into a haven for the unlucky and the uninterested. The management is absolutely dreadful, and it's clear that things have completely fallen apart, especially with the P25 project—what a disaster. My supervisor is completely unfit to manage a team. Instead of leading effectively, they make up for their lack of skills by bullying the engineers, creating an environment of fear rather than respect. Common sense and logic have flown out the window. The only way to survive here is to put in zero effort and pretend you don't care because if you do, you're just setting yourself up to be crushed by poor leadership. It gets worse—tenants constantly abuse you because the company is failing them, and there's no support from management to fix the situation. Senior management has no clue what they're doing, and it’s obvious they’re leading the company straight into quicksand. This place is heading for a crash, and it’s only a matter of time before it implodes. This used to be a place where people could grow and thrive, but now it’s just a toxic, soul-sucking nightmare. Avoid it if you value your sanity and career.
