Pros
The people are smart, fun and subject matter experts in their respective areas. There’s been more and more investment in technology and professional development than ever before and that’s a big thanks to our investors and leadership team. The new SMT have a number of years working in other similar types of businesses and are able to lead from behind to empower their teams to lead, develop and innovate. They proactively seek feedback and listen too. It’s a company where you can really go from idea to strategy to execution. The business is transforming and professionalising and as a result there’s always opportunities to work on new projects or products and get promoted to take on new challenges. It’s one of the best things about working in a meritocracy. The CEO, along with his direct reports, hasled with compassion throughout the COVID pandemic and certainly put people first and that goes a long way in a world where humanising the workplace can be a competitive advantage.
Cons
Like any business there are challenges and room for improvement. The company is transforming and that doesn’t happen over night. For some this will be frustrating and for others it is exciting. Things don’t always work all the time but our colleagues are always ready to help and support.
