Pros
Company is young and ambitious. The core team is highly proffesional, and the QA team is highly motivated. The company is fast growing and revenues are increasing. The leaders of the company keep on searching for new markets and new products. The pulse of the competition are closely measured. The employees are getting good conditions and generally there is a good atmosphare in the company.
Cons
Growing fast has its sicknesses. The founders of the company are living abroad, and tthey do not have the pulse of the workers. When they come, they brag about the profits and the accelerated rate of the growth of the company. They keep saying that in this company there is a survival confidence of a big comapny etc... The majority of the employees do not posses shares or options of the company, so they don't share the happiness and proudness of the founders. More to that, they see how their part in the company decreases as more and more new workers arrive. When i have arrived to the company I immedietly noticed a majour failure in the company product and warned about it. my warning was totaly ignored... untill a very big custmer aimed to cancel a very big deal unless this failiure will be fixed. Then it was fixed under very hard pressure. And that wasn't the only case, generally speaking at the part of the company i was at - if a customer doesnt request it specifically - it doesnt being done! Even more then that - when things are being done, they are done just to the level of satisfactory - never try to perfect anything. The direction of the company is to give a whole global suite solution for security versus the competitors who give better but only partly solutions - I'm not sure if this strategy is totaly correct...
