Pros
It used to be great.
Cons
Verbit used to be a supportive, team-driven environment where transcriptionists were encouraged to grow, collaborate, and take pride in their work. We felt part of something meaningful and consistently delivered high-quality transcripts because we were treated with respect. Over the past year, that has completely changed. A new director replaced experienced leadership with what we can only assume are unqualified personal friends who lack legal experience and are blindly supported despite giving inaccurate feedback. This is just fostering a toxic, narcissistic culture that upper management is allowing. Clear client guidelines are ignored, communication has been cut off (especially for contractors, even though both contractors and employees do the same work), and we’re forced to meet unrealistic deadlines under threat of nonpayment. The director continues to defend a quality manager who is consistently wrong and disrespectful, prioritizing control and intimidation over accuracy and collaboration. To make matters worse, management has been posting identical five-star reviews across multiple platforms in an effort to mask internal dysfunction. Many of us are now actively searching for new jobs. Verbit has gone from a company we were proud to work for to one we dread logging into each day.
