Pros
The company takes new grads with no experience in sales, puts them on a very competitive starting salary and trains them with an intense induction programme that sets them up for success in the role. My experience as an ASM overwhelmingly positive. The company changed structure during this time to open up more avenues for progression within the company. They also changed an obsolete commission structure to a simple and frankly more lucrative one. I felt welcome by management and other reps from the start and I genuinely enjoyed the role. I would wholly recommend working here to anyone willing to work hard and who wants to develop into an effective salesperson.
Cons
The cons most cite are often a matter of attitude - this is often apparent early on too. There is a requirement to work hard but you will have your personal time, and you will be supported by multiple people at varying levels of the company to make sure you can succeed. Staying away from home can be a potential part of the job but you have full autonomy of your own diary and have the ability to make your own life easier. You will get out what you put into this role. At the very worst you will become an experienced and effective sales rep who will be sought after by other companies. At the very best you will be offered promotions within VetPlus and given more freedom as you climb the ladder.
