Pay works out as less than minimum wage for the hours worked. You will stay away from home frequently and expenses do not cover the full amount you will spend. Have a quick search and see what hotel you can find for £80 and see if you think you can stay in these hotels multiple times a week and then decide if this job is for you...
Management are absolutely awful people who think it is ok to make people feel like they are worthless. They discriminate against staff and are unprofessional.
There are no progression opportunities despite what management will tell you. You will be told that the business only promotes from within but this is a not true, and you will see hardworking people not be rewarded for their commitment to the business.
Clients do not have good things to say about VetPlus as a business and their reputation is well and truly tarnished - you will be putting out fires left right and centre that you did not start. The same clients will complain about the turnover of reps and you will begin to understand why they leave after being there a month or two!
Benefits of the job are nil. No sick pay and pension is abysmal. You will be told to be grateful for the salary you receive despite it being only slightly above minimum wage, and this is if you don’t consider the overtime. This is one of the only sales roles known to man where you won't be paid commission for around 9 months.
I would seriously avoid this job at all costs. The job itself is fairly straightforward but unqualified management and unattainable targets make it extremely difficult to find the willpower to go on with your day.
