I have never been to this site, although I have heard about it for years. I finally went to see what it is all about and decided to make my feelings known as today I feel they are important... We are currently faced with a global crisis not seen in my 65 years of life or probably yours either. First is the COVID19 and now an uncertain economy. Business as usual won’t be the tempo for a while. I am grateful to the Vitec Group and its leadership, because they value their employees and care about the health and wellbeing of them. I have lived it. When the pedal meets the metal……. that’s when it kicks in. Let me indulge you: I am a survivor of a still ongoing medical crisis in the Southwestern United States called Valley Fever. I was between life and death, and I am here today because of the people that took care of me. Doctors, nurses, technicians, loved ones. I was a victim of something I had no control over. I survived because of Vitec’s medical insurance plan provided the best medical attention available to make me whole again. The expense of a life altering medical crisis would have been a financial disaster for myself and my family. It wasn’t. And all the medical cost was taken care of. All of it. I never paid a penny. All the management members, from Stephen Bird down to my manager reached out to assure me personally that I was to “not worry about how long it might take to recover from my illness, and that all that mattered was my getting well’. An incredibly positive response from a company. I indulge you all the value of a great company and its leaders when it’s time to having the “pedal to the metal” and how I relate to it all. Getting the right insurance plan to meet the needs of the group involved a lot of input. Through team leadership and employee review and input, they constructed an exceptional plan and purchased it for all their employee’s. Because of that plan I am alive and a productive part of the team of people trying to make a success of our business. Forever, thank you Team Vitec. So today, everyone in the world is basically in a ‘locked down’ home environment. Millions will possibly lose their jobs this week as businesses look for ways to hold the financial line of existence and responsibility to their shareholders. Governments globally are quickly trying to find ways to keep business afloat; both large and small, from the point of never coming back into operation. And in our world our Group Executive Stephen Bird reached out to every employee of the company on 03/20/20 via an email to give transparency of the company’s current situation, what’s happening for our customers, in how we are staying in touch and available to them, but most importantly, to “take care of yourselves.” Bravo. Mr. Bird! He also stated “The business will continue to update you regularly as conditions change and you can email me directly with any specific questions you may have and I will do my best to answer them (his email)Bravo. I’m saying all this because aside from comments that I read (all 4 in English), I feel lucky to be working for this company. I appreciate the opportunity to work for a company which opens itself up for input from any employee. I never hope that this global pandemic’s illness touches anyone in our global company. I, and maybe two to three others that I know in our group, have faced terrible medical conditions, and we are still alive because through “smart team analyst”, the Vitec Group took care of their employees. To all, stay healthy, practice safe social distancing, and please remember and remind your children, your parents, your Grandparents and yourselves to wash your hands for as long as it takes to sing two Happy Birthday songs back to back.
