Pros
The pros are that there are good rates, but that comes at a price, which I'll tell you about in the Cons.
Some of the clients are really cool and they treat you like a normal person and if you are in a position that allows you to operate, or help during the gig, they can be good contacts for fulltime jobs.
Cons
SLOW pay!
Boring gigs are usually packing/unpacking and pushing cases.
Some of the clients will treat you like crap if you let them.
f you do freelance, make sure you have a fulltime job also. If you like finding money in your pocket when you do your laundry that's what getting paid is like, 30 days later, you forgot you had it and it's a surprise. Just know what you're signing up for and know that if you're assigned to setup and strike, there's going to be grunt work. To avoid this, listen carefully when they call and go over details.
