Poor management - Ophthalmic Technician Vision Eye Institute Employee Review

Clinical staff and admin staff are great.

Management/doctors expect the world and then the reward is more work. Hours are so varied and you're just expected to stay back if surgery/consultations are running late. They don't want to pay overtime so you get time in lieu and then act like they are sooo generous for letting you leave early. Will not hire enough staff and then when things aren't done in a timely manner it's the staff fault for not working hard enough or not managing their time correctly. Partner doctors can do what they like, treat people however they want and there is nothing done about it.

No support at all they had two part time students running the whole admin side of the surgical department and when asking for help or additional staff they said this was the stress of the job and you just couldn’t handle it. Extremely old school not technically advanced.
