Pros

It was great to actually work in Walmart Labs initially. I was able to improve my technical skills.

Cons

It's not what you do, but who you know that gets promoted. Also, there is a lot of techs taking credit for things they did not participate in. If you want to take PTO and are not on the senior managers favorite list then you will not be able to take it. There is too many politics and not enough being recognised for the hardwork and dedication of associates. Also, there is a big break in communication of directive changes, yet will hold you responsible if seniors do not like you. Too many politics not enough seeing true talent.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
