Pros

Core culture as envisioned by the founder is sound, and to the extent it is practiced works very well. Compensation package is very good

Cons

Explosive growth brings new problems that company is not always prepared for. Seem to struggle with identity - want to be a home-spun family business still, but are in reality a huge multi-national corporation. This is not generally a good mix, insiders are favored over outside hires in all practical ways such as promotion or growth, but outsiders typically are paid more. The question often asked inside is "when is enough, enough - how big do we need to be?"

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
