Pros

I’m still thinking…and still thinking…

Cons

Management is not held accountable, investigated, or disciplined for their acts of discrimination or abuse of authority reported to Employee Relations at Corporate. During peak hours Front End Supervisors were anywhere but at the front end to assist associates at their registers when needed. Pay is not commensurate with experience. Worse, new hired Stockers started at $17/hr., while five and six-year associates were still underpaid. Management, Lead positions and above, did not reflect the ethnic diversity of the area: and not for lack of qualified talent.

Pros

I worked at a small store which gave me the opportunity to have a good rapport with my co-workers and the customers. There is lots of opportunity to advance at Walmart.

Cons

Things are constantly changing, so you have to adapt. The new generation, it is hard to find "hard workers"

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
