Pros

There’s so much to learn and there is always work to do so you’re never bored. It’s pretty cool to be able to do hands on work on the type of reactors and controls that you studied in school. As a field service engineer, you gain fundamental work experience in electrical, mechanical, and process engineering. This makes it a great stepping stone if it’s not your dream job in the field of chemical engineering. The culture around the workplace is great. It feels like everyone is a team rather then people trying to outdo you or belittle your accomplishments so they can differentiate themselves for a promotion. Also, the company doesn’t try to milk you until dry by over working you either like other companies will. It feels like you are an important player in the company and they want you there long term.

Cons

I haven’t been here long enough to find Cons, sorry.

Pros

As young engineer was introduce to variety areas of engineering, mechanical, electrical, controls. Able to design custom equipment and acheive great personal rewards.

Cons

Pay and Benefits are average. In additional excepted to work ~45-50 hours per week. But hard work has equipped me with numerous amount of hands-on and trouble-shooting skills, which has earn larger pay in next opportunity.
