Pros

It's one thing when the people you work with have a passion for the mission. It's another once that is married with the practical work experience that so many people here bring with them. That equals impact! Top notch peers from all walks of life, who demonstrate grace and maturity, starting from the very top. Debate is welcome and sharpens us, while the rare conflicts are handled with wisdom. And work/life balance is lived out, not just empty words. The general public may think World Vision is a conservative Christian org, but the staff come from all parts of the Christian spectrum, with varying beliefs. The diversity of thought in terms of religion, social, and world views make us stronger and closely aligned with the real world.

Cons

It is a big organization that can make a big impact. But that means it also takes time to create organizational change. Innovation is embraced here with some teams being further along the curve than others. Just don't expect a nimble 20-person startup.
