Pros

Some nice people, free drinks in the fridge, some days free lunch meals but not always

Cons

During my time at roadsurfer, I observed recurring issues within my team that were repeatedly raised but ultimately disregarded by management. The company promotes a “Pulse Survey,” presented as an anonymous and safe channel for employees to share honest feedback. While some organizations genuinely use tools like this to listen and improve, my experience here suggested otherwise. After submitting feedback that was candid yet constructive, I was unexpectedly called into a meeting with HR and my manager. The timing made it very clear that my responses were traced back to me, which completely undermines the claim of anonymity. Unfortunately, this incident ultimately contributed to me losing my position. I share this experience as a caution: if you are currently employed here and wish to keep your job, be mindful of how you use the survey. Colleagues deserve to be aware of practices that can harm rather than support employees. I would not want anyone else to go through what I experienced.

Dear former colleague, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear that you felt the Pulse Survey was not anonymous. We want to be very clear: our monthly Pulse Survey is 100% anonymous and cannot be traced back to individual employees. Ensuring anonymity is our highest priority, and we can confidently guarantee that the survey is designed and managed in a way that protects every participant’s identity. The purpose of the Pulse Survey is to capture the overall sentiment within the company and to identify specific topics where we can improve. Every employee is also free to provide individual, anonymous feedback voluntarily within the survey. We actively encourage all employees to use this opportunity to share honest and constructive feedback – because only through openness can we grow and evolve as an employer. We also want to emphasize that employment decisions are not based on survey responses. If there are any challenges involving individual team members, these are addressed confidentially and personally between the manager, the People Partner, and the employee – outside of the survey process. We regret that your experience led you to a different impression and thank you for your openness. If you’d like to discuss your experience further, feel free to reach out to people[at]roadsurfer.com. We are wishing you all the best. Your roadsurfer Team
